Hello, Scratchspace.
This is not a portfolio. It's not a newsletter. It doesn't have a content strategy.
It's a scratchpad — somewhere to put things I'm thinking about, building, or figuring out. If it's useful to someone else, great. If not, it's still useful to me.
Why bother writing at all.
Writing is how I slow down and actually understand what I've been doing. I'll tinker with something for days, feel like I understand it, and then realize I can't explain it. That's usually a sign that I don't actually understand it.
So this exists partly as a forcing function. Write it down, see if the explanation holds up.
What will be here.
Mostly: things I build at the makerspace. CS concepts I'm working through. Occasional thoughts on the overlap between biology and computation, which is the thing I find most interesting right now and can't fully articulate yet.
Some posts will be long and considered. Some will be half-formed and messy. That's the point of a scratchpad.
What won't be here.
Hot takes. Career advice. "10 things I learned" lists. Content.
Just notes from someone who's still figuring it out.
If you're reading this and you know me — hi. If you don't — also hi. Welcome to the scratchspace.
